At EET we use the following seven-step method
in our standard program and business English courses.
Review: Participants review what was
learned from the previous lesson.
Example: The trainer presents language
samples showing how to use the new material through the medium of
videotapes, cassettes, and/or textbooks.
Practice: Participants perform guided
practice exercises using the new material. Each performance is celebrated.
Action: Participants creatively use the
new material and create their own dialogues and presentations in
pairs and small group doing role plays and/or conduct individual
presentations.
Learning Log: Participants keep a learning
log recording the key points they learned from each lesson and how
they will actually apply what they have learned in real life situations.
Learning Cycle: Use of the Learning Log
facilitates the Review phase for the next lesson and helps create
a continuous Learning cycle.
